Applications for the 2023 NMDC Ambassador Program Are Now Open

The National Microbiome Data Collaborative (NMDC) is excited to announce that applications for the 2023 NMDC Ambassador Program are now open. Ambassadors consist of early career researchers who are motivated to engage with their peers and eager to spread awareness of microbiome data stewardship. The Ambassador Program provides training sessions, publication recognition, and event hosting opportunities, as well as a stipend and access to the NMDC’s large and diverse network of data scientists, microbiome researchers, and multi-omics experts.

NMDC seeks early career leaders who are:

  • Familiar with the challenges of discovering, accessing, and reusing microbiome data
  • Committed to working with the NMDC to make microbiome data findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR)
  • Motivated to engage with researchers in their community
  • Committed to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accountability (IDEA)

Please visit NMDC’s dedicated program page to learn more about this opportunity, eligibility criteria, and program timeline.

Please encourage qualified early career researchers to apply by February 7, 2023. Questions: support@microbiome.org.
