Annual Research Summaries

The Genomic Science Program holds annual meetings of their funding awardees. Research summaries (abstracts) from these meetings are usually published in book form. Beginning in 2021, the meeting has been held concurrently with other BER Biological Systems Science Division PI meetings.

The summaries outline progress toward the Genomic Science Program goal of achieving a predictive, systems-level understanding of plants, microbes, and biological communities, via integration of fundamental science and technology development, to enable biological solutions to DOE mission challenges, including energy, environment, and climate.

Previous meetings have been held jointly with the Metabolic Engineering Working Group Interagency Conference on Metabolic Engineering (2006–2008) and with the USDA-DOE Plant Feedstock Genomics for Bioenergy Awardee Workshop (various years).
